Anyway! This would be Rylis Tavel, one of my role-playing characters; I play her in a Star Wars game during the Original Trilogy era. She is a bounty hunter who works for the Empire. She is not actually human, but a Mirialan, hence the greenish skin and tattoos This is a rare image of her in casual mode, out of her armor and not out on a hunt.
She is very different from my other characters - while they all tend to be very hot-tempered and spontaneous, Rylis is the very definition of calm and collected, and cool to the point of callousness. A pure mercenary, expect to owe her big someday if she ever does you a favor. She does not generally consider people friends, but acquaintances that could come in use one day.
She's also very amusing to play, because in our RP, her presence is enough to make the Rebels freak out
Anyway! Technical details. Painted this in Photoshop CS3 using my Wacom tablet. Since the others in the game have said before that they've always pictured Rylis as resembling Angelina Jolie, I used a picture of her for a reference for the facial features. I also used another reference for the ear as I suck horribly at painting ears, and I used one of ~Trisste's brushes for the eyelashes. Took about...8 hours all told over two days to do. Very happy with how it turned out, despite the fact that my laziness in doing her hair (it should be pulled up out of the way) makes her look younger than her age of 28. But oh well.
I think the part that actually took the longest were the tattoos because I had no idea what sort of design to go for...but now I can be like "want to see the person you've been so scared of?" to the rest of our group
i meant to say something about the portrait on messenger since I saw it as your user pic. but fabulous job as usual! I really like the detail to the hair and the face especially although I'm a bit sad that you only did the face. LOL
